Amateur astronomer contribution

We expect that amateur astronomers will be able to contribute to the 67P campaign, especially in 2015 (around perihelion in August), when the comet will be at its brightest but relatively close to the Sun, and difficult to observe with professional telescopes. The amateur contribution is coordinated through a separate dedicated site, http://rosetta.jpl.nasa.gov/rosetta-ground-based-campaign. There is also a Facebook group open to pro and amateur astronomers wishing to discuss observations of 67P and the Rosetta mission.
